To actually help a horse recover, you need the heat to sink deep into the muscle. That’s where we spent all our time in the lab. We wanted to move past those old-school European lamps that everyone just accepts as “the standard.”

Getting deeper into the muscle

Most infrared lamps just blast energy at the surface. It feels warm on the outside, but it stops right there.
We did things differently. We tweaked the tungsten filament and the gas pressure inside the bulb to shift the heat into the medium-wave range. Why? Because that’s the sweet spot for penetration. Instead of wasting energy on the surface, the heat actually reaches the deeper tissue. It’s about putting the warmth where the horse actually feels the relief.
