Power, voltage, and the way it all fits together
It runs at 400V and 2500W, pushing a lot of current through a short, 300mm quartz tube. That compact shape concentrates the wattage into a small area, giving you the intense heat flux that makes fast-cycle processes possible. Running at 400V also keeps the current lower for the same power, which helps keep conductor sizes manageable and reduces voltage drop in the wiring. Here’s the trade-off: you get a lot of output, so your control gear and machine cooling need to be sized to handle the ambient heat and thermal load. Plan for it, and it behaves.
The materials and the details that matter
The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable and fights blackening, so the lamp stays consistent over time. The gold-coated quartz envelope reflects infrared back onto the target, making the energy use more efficient and smoothing out temperature across the surface. And the R7s base? It’s a simple, bi-pin connector that makes this lamp a drop-in replacement in many standard fixtures. It holds a solid contact, helps reduce hot spots at the terminals, and makes field installation straightforward.
Where it shines—and why it helps
Use it whenever you need rapid, localized heating: PET blowing, thermoforming, adhesive curing, and component drying. The shortwave response hits the surface quickly, which can cut cycle time and make results more repeatable. The compact form slips into tight machine bays, and the tough quartz build handles the thermal shock of repeated on/off cycles.
