When you’re blowing PET bottles, timing is everything. If the plastic isn’t soft enough, the bottle won’t form. Too hot? You’ve got burnt plastic and wasted material. That’s why we built these 355mm lamps. With 1000W of power, they hit that sweet spot—getting your preforms ready fast without scorching them. Why the power matters In a fast-moving production line, you don’t have time to wait around. You need a lamp that jumps to temperature in seconds. We balanced the power density across the 355mm length specifically to avoid “hot spots.” Nobody wants a bottle with uneven walls or weird thin patches. This keeps the heat steady and the bottles consistent. The guts of the lamp We use high-purity quartz glass for the housing. It’s tough. It can handle the constant shock of cycling on and off without cracking. Inside, there’s a halogen gas doing the heavy lifting. It stops the tungsten from gunking up the inside of the glass. This means the tube stays crystal clear, and the infrared heat keeps flowing just as strongly on day 100 as it did on day one. A few tips for the floor These are drop-in replacements. You can swap them into your existing oven arrays and wire them to your controllers without any headache. But here is the thing: 1000W puts out a lot of heat. If your ventilation is clogged or just too small, that heat builds up around the lamp and kills the filament faster. Keep your airflow clean. Also, keep an eye on your PID controllers. If you try to “over-drive” the lamps to make up for a mirror that’s out of alignment, you’re just going to burn them out. One last thing… Alignment is everything. Seriously. If the lamp shifts even a few millimeters, the heat distribution changes. That’s when your bottle shapes start looking funky. Get them lined up perfectly, and they’ll do the work for you.
