But here’s the problem: if your heating lamps take forever to warm up or can’t hold a steady temperature, you’re looking at uneven preforms and a pile of deformed bottles. That’s a lot of wasted plastic and a lot of frustration. We built our replacement lamps to kill that lag. The secret is in the heat We spent a lot of time messing with the tungsten filament density. Why? Because we wanted to lower the “thermal inertia.” In plain English: we made it so the lamp doesn’t have to fight itself to get hot. When you flip the switch on a high-voltage system, these lamps hit peak infrared output almost instantly. No waiting around. No guessing. Just heat. Built for the actual machine There’s nothing worse than a “universal” part that doesn’t actually fit. These are drop-in replacements designed specifically for the SACMI oven footprint. We use heavy-wall quartz glass so the tubes don’t bow or warp when things get intense. We also stick to standardized connectors. A loose connection is a nightmare—it leads to arcing, and then your lamp burns out way sooner than it should. Plus, the quartz is crystal clear. That lets short-wave IR move through the glass and sink deep into the PET preform much faster than the old long-wave stuff. A bit of real-world advice Now, look, speed comes with a price. Pushing that much power through a filament puts it under a lot of stress. If your PID controllers are tuned too aggressively or your voltage keeps spiking, you’re going to kill your lamps faster. Keep an eye on your cooling fans, too. If they’re clogged with dust and the oven gets too hot, the quartz can crack—no matter how high the quality is.
