Nothing kills a shift faster than a tube burning out on a SIG Blomax line. One minute you’re hitting your numbers, and the next, production is dead and your OEE is tanking. Most of the lamps you’ll find on the market just aren’t built for this. They can’t handle the constant shaking and the wild temperature swings of high-speed PET blowing. That’s why we built our reinforced lamps. We wanted to end that frustrating loop of “install, break, repeat.” Getting the power right These are simple drop-in replacements. We’ve matched the wattage and voltage to your existing oven footprint, so you don’t have to worry about stressing your power supply. The goal here is immediate heat density. You need to soften those PET preforms fast without turning the rest of the machine frame into an oven. And a word of advice: don’t try to “fix” old, dim lamps by cranking up the voltage. All that does is fry the filaments even faster. Built to take a beating Standard quartz is basically fancy glass—it’s brittle. We use a reinforced quartz envelope that can actually handle the vibration of a running plant. It makes a huge difference when you’re sliding them in during a hectic changeover; you aren’t constantly terrified of a snap. We also spent a lot of time on the connectors. They’re precision-machined for a tight fit. Why? Because a loose connection creates an arc. That arc melts your socket and kills the lamp. It’s a small detail that saves a lot of headaches. A quick heads-up on cooling These lamps last longer, which means fewer swaps and more uptime. But there is a trade-off. Because they’re higher intensity, they put more heat into the oven. If your cooling fans are choked with dust or just aren’t up to the task, the ambient temperature will start to climb. If that happens, your preforms might start to deform. Keep your airflow clean, and these tubes will treat you right. If you’re tired of the constant downtime, just swap these in.
